The “Let’s Give Learning Value!” conference, held in Budapest on 21 April 2026, brought together professionals from public education, vocational education and higher education to share experiences and practical approaches to learning-outcomes-based assessment. The event focused on strengthening teachers’ and educators’ assessment practices and exploring how assessment can move beyond grading to become a meaningful tool for learning and competence development. Szilvia Besze, Senior Coordinator at the Tempus Public Foundation, contributed with a presentation on developing teachers’ and higher education teachers’ assessment competences. Drawing on the PROFFORMANCE toolkit, she highlighted the importance of clear assessment criteria, formative feedback, dialogue, multi-stakeholder assessment and continuous reflection, while emphasising that sustainable improvement is a shared responsibility of educators and institutions.
